We got up at 7!!!! That is sleeping in for our gang! We gathered in the living room and started reading books and such. As the kids went their separate ways I got a pen and paper and said to Bill "lets plan the day a little". WHOOOOSH! Sal was by my side in a heart beat She wanted to know EXACTLY what we were doing and when! ;-)
So we drove through Mickey Ds and then went to the "red park". It was SO nice outside - just a beautiful day. We had a ball at the park. When we got home Connie asked the kids to come swimming so off they went. Sally LOVES swimming and she practically bounces down there.
Bill and I packed a big "picnic" along with beach ball, football, extra clothes, and LOTS of glow sticks. We went out to the pond kind of behind the golf course and we played ball and tag with Ellie Maye who we met out there. :-) Then it was time for the air show. It was really cool and went directly over us.
The pond soon filled up with all kinds of people and Daddy and the kids walked around and handed out glow sticks. Sally loved handing out glow sticks. She really had a nice time. When the fireworks started they came out of a helicopter. It was really neat. Then we all hunkered down under our blanket and watched. Sally didn't watch at all - I think it was too much for her. She kept pretending to watch tv. It was very odd. But she just wanted nothing to do with fireworks.
We stopped and got ice-cream, went home and ate it and put the urchins to bed. Ahhhhh. They were all smiles as they laid down and were asleep in about 2minutes from their head hitting the pillow.
They slept in till almost 7:30 today! They both said they had a good time. Sal goes to Social Club today. They're going to Lyle fest. She's all excited and keeps asking if it's 11:30 yet. She's something.
