Ok - have you all seen this? I dvr'd it and got to watch this afternoon. I'm not sure what to think. Someone on my Oct list asked if I could handle giving up your baby for 3 days. Jack - YES! Jack was a crier (still is) and hard to make happy. I would have gladly given him away for 3 days. :-) The only thing is - I don't think I could have watched someone else "parenting" him. Especially when the "kids" called the babies "it" and "brat". I HATE the word brat. I think I would have had to go to a beach or something instead of watching the "kids" on tv. :-) Plus, I'd like to state right now that anytime anyone would like to take both for 3 days - just let me know. (advance notice is needed for the moving truck) :-)
Today was early day for us at camp and Sal didn't have bowling so we went to the library. I always tell them they can get 5 books, one movie and one book on tape. Jack had a VERY hard time finding something . (what else is new) He finally got into the movies and tried to find Jurassic Park. No luck. When I suggested the book he said "I don't like reading that much". WHAT??????!!!!!! Remain calm - try not to show fear. My worst fear coming to pass. But as we walked and looked and talked it became apparent that he needed *older* books than the picture books that Sal loves. Whew. Ok - I'm ok - breathe. So I found him in the "early reader" section and he found 5 books in no time. Thank you, God. I just don't have it in me to "make" someone love to read. That boy can always make me sweat.
