Golden, IL -- His name may be Tiny...but his heart and his size are quite the opposite.
Meet Tiny, a five year old St. Bernard from LaPrarie Illinois who is proving why dogs are definitely man's best friend.
His owner Mike Gooding fell off his roof earlier this year.
The fall broke Gooding's neck, paralyzing him from the chest down.
Since then Gooding has been staying and being cared for at Golden Good Shepherd Home.
But Tiny couldn't take being away from his owner...so Tiny decided one day to sniff out Gooding...which he eventually did.
But it was no easy task...Their home in LaPrarie is about a seven mile treck to the Good Shepherd Home in Golden.
"It was very amazing to me and stuff and and very refreshing to have him find me out because he had never been to Golden down to the nursing home and it's just amazing that he found me," said Gooding.
By the way Gooding says Tiny has had no special training.
The sad part of this story is Gooding told us Tiny always travels with their cat...Miss Kitty.
But since that day Tiny went looking for Gooding...Miss Kitty has been missing.
They feel she may have gotten lost during the journey.
