Chemo Makes You Think

My friend is in the middle of round one of chemo. Her emails really make me realize what is important in life. We sure spend a lot of time on *crap*. She writes a lot on the days that are "good" as she calls it- the days that she is more *herself*. She's so upbeat on those days it's crazy to realize she's honestly fighting for her life.

She says that she has really re-evaluated her life and the people in it. She said that she had no idea of the people who were really her friends and who she thought was and turned out they weren't. I can empathize with that. It's in tough times that you see people's *true* colors. Not the stuff they want you to see the armor they put on, but the real them.

Sal and Jack had Carnival at camp today. Everyone was to bring something to share and by the time I left they already had 4 HUGE Rubbermaid garbage cans WAY full of stuff. :-) The two were so excited and planning out where they were going to meet up and what they would ride together. They are SO funny.

Sally is on every one's butt about JBSRA garage sale tomorrow. She's decided that's what we're doing come hell or high water! She told Jack all about it and where it was going to be and then asked if he wanted to come. I guess she'll be driving also. :-)
