Things are CRAZY

Dang, can hardly catch my breath. The house is so WAY out of control and S picks this time of year to go through pants like kleenex!!! So naturally, I'm WAY behind on laundry too. I don't know - something's got to give. Also behind at work too. It's crazy. Just seems like I'm putting out fires lately. When I finally do get to a client's work - it's not all there so I have to make phone calls and put stuff on hold only to come back to it later. ugghh.

Book Fair/Holiday Fest last night at school. ALWAYS a good time. LOVE the book fair. I have become quite the book helper too. :-) Mrs S wanted to know if I'd consider volunteering full time. :-) God, I love books. The only thing is I'm not the greatest when it comes to books that appeal to someone over the age of around 10. I'm more of a picture/read to me chapter book girl. I suppose that will come with aging children. :-) There seems to be a whole subculture of us that kind of know about children's (good children's) books. Like the fact that Van Allsburg wrote the Polar Express WAY before it was a movie and of course Hollywood strayed away from it a tad - should I say "plumped" it up. But they do that to all books. I've never heard someone say "oh, the movie was much better than the book." :-)

Trying to make lists of things and dollar amounts to make out forms for the pre-tax system the Village is installing. Did I mention we FINALLY have a contract!!??!! And to think we have to do it all over again in a year - I think. I don't think it's more than a 3 year contract and we've been without for 2 years. I'll have to ask about that. So finally we are going to be getting 2006 pay to match our 2007 prices???? Yeah, it's crazy - but it's better than 2004 - which is what WAS going on. B's pretty happy and now he can ask about the whole cemetary thing. He didn't want to mess with that till he knew about pay from the contract.

Pretty much have the Christmas shopping done. I'm still not sure how we're going to work the whole Mom and Dad gifts. If we're going to put them on their beds as surprise (it's flannel sheets) and put the trees up in their rooms? Still have to plan that. Plus have to find out from Aunt J what's up (I was interupted on the phone last night) with her visit and then plan out Camp and Grandma's for Christmas Vacation.

S got a tea set in her advent this morning. The "People" were enjoying tea when she left on the bus this a.m. She's going to have a very merry People Christmas this year. Santa, Aunt L and Aunt J are all purchasing People. She ought to be in heaven. :-)
