Do you ever have that closed in feeling? Like everything is coming down on top of you? Kind of like the bugs are hanging on the edge of the hole (for all you Tumblebug fans). I think that's why I don't care for Christmas all that much. It's always that way. I don't care how much you prepare - how much you do in November - it's always a race to the finish. And as the cinders embedded in my knee attest - I don't care much for races.
And on top of that I picked a job with that kind of "hurry up and wait" thing too. :-(
Seems to be contagious also. The Mom's were all down yesterday at group and the kids all out of hand. S had to go out twice. She NEVER goes out! She also has a UTI and we had to pee in a cup (VERY hard ) but we did get the meds and hopefully she'll calm down a little more. We're working on "taking control of our engine". I'm not getting it so well and will probably need to purchase a book on it. So here we go again. Like I have time to research stuff at this moment. Uggh.
We have the Christmas Party with the "pirates" this weekend. I LOVE this celebration. Nothing like Special Needs children to really make you realize what it's all about! I just stand and bawl like a baby in appreciation of all I have - you just CAN'T be in a down mood with them.
B's working on a new Santa gift for the boy. We've gone through 3 now. He's been jonesing for a Game Boy (the new kind) and B has found a used one for a good deal - AND it plays the games he already has. !!!!
I'm no where on cards, and presents - yes they're bought - but not wrapped. And the house - oh, my gosh - it's just absolutely HORRIBLE!
Got Sade's stitches out yesterday. She's gonna have a scar - not going to be able to be photo'd from the right side. The hair might cover it a little - it's still pretty short from surgery. She's feeling MUCH better. Can't wait to give her a bath on Sunday. Figure we'll do it before the Bears game and let her rub her face to a pulp during the game. :-)
