Where to start. Snow day on Friday - for the first time in S's 6 years. She did prety well. We only had about 4 or 5 inches. The kids went out and played and stayed out a lot longer than I thought they weould.
Saturday we went to the Fest of Lights. We sat on Santa's lap and told him that they wanted the Little People School for S and Bullseye Ball Bounce and Roll for J. We made ornaments and played gaems and then went through the drive through at Mickey Ds. It was too cold to stay for too long.
Sunday we watched the Bears win and had Church meeting. While we were talking that night J opinioned that Santa on Sat. wasn't real. He was perfectly fine with it and said it almost like "by the way". We explained that these were helpers and that they would report back to the real Santa and that he shouldn't tell smaller children because they did think it was the real Santa. He's so funny. The conversations you can have with him are amazing. For someone who is so silly and off topic a lot of the time he CAN pull it together and really have some nice insight.
I volunteered at the Book Fair yesterday. I just love school. You can really FEEL the energy that exudes from the place. Everyone is always in a good mood (or they fake it very well) and it seems like one big family. I got into a conversation (butted in) with several 5th grade boys about the Bears game. I got a couple of those "I'm amazed you know what football is, Lady" looks. I also told the wrong teacher that her library books were due. They prob won't ask me back very soon. *I* sure have a good time. :-)
I can't tell you how horrible the house looks. I'm VERY behind on laundry, the toilets all need scrubbing. Ugghh. How do people do it??
And now I'm off to swimming lessons. You really *miss* these days huh? I'm not sure I buy it.
